How to View & Restore Version History
View and restore past versions of your documents in Motif.
Transcript
Version history allows you to view past versions of your documents in the Write or Research tab of a project in Motif. If needed, you can restore these previous versions.
Things to Know
- Free users can view and restore up to 7 days of version history
- Pro users have access to unlimited version history
View & Restore
Open a project from the Your Projects page of the app. Navigate to the “Write” or “Research” tab and select a document. Click “Versions” above the editing toolbar.

This will take you to the current version of your document. To view a past version, select a past date to the right of the document.

To restore a past version of the document, click “Restore this version” at the top of your screen for the document you want to restore. Your current version will be preserved as a past version.
