New Features

Focus Mode

We’ve implemented a basic Focus Mode to help you cut distractions and keep your mind on the writing. Select the Focus Mode button on the toolbar. Or move in and out of Focus Mode easily with the shortcut: command+J on a Mac or control+J on Windows.

Move Notes

Take a note in the wrong tab? Move your note cards easily between your Document Notes and Manuscript Notes. Just click the three-dot dropdown menu on a note card and select “Move to Document Notes” or “Move to Manuscript Notes” to transfer them.

Export as Docx (Beta)

Export your manuscript from Motif as a docx file. Simply select the “Export Manuscript” button in the left navigation bar. 

Bug Fixes

Story Elements

Story Element cards were reordering themselves. We’ve fixed the issue, and are working on a way for you to drag and drop them.

Document Saving

We fixed saving issues with documents caused by low speed internet. If you ever lose text, please look at Version History to recover it.
