Why a Project or Item Says Read-Only

Free accounts in Motif are limited to 3 projects and 30 items per project (documents, story elements, boards, and links).

If you cancel your Pro plan or trial and you’ve created more than 3 projects, or added more than 30 items to a project, your newest created projects and items will become read-only.

You will be able to view these read-only projects and items at any time, but you will not be able to edit them. To edit your read-only projects and items, you will have to trash older ones until you are under the limits.

The Christmas Carol tutorial project does not count towards your limits. If you ever go over the limits and downgrade to a Free plan, this project will become read-only.
